Regular Shows/Events

There are a number of groups/organizations that call the VEC their “home”, and we are happy to have them!  Showcased below are some of the groups that frequently use the VEC for their events/shows.

Atomic Vaudeville (AV) has supported the potential of the VEC from the very beginning, ten years ago! They present four unique shows every year at the VEC. Each show runs for 3-5 nights and contains a cast of anywhere from 20-40 performers. AV has built up a cult-like following and each show packs “the house”.

Art Battle is live competitive painting. Painters create the best work they can across three 20 minute rounds of live painting. The audience votes for the winners of each round, thus choosing the single winner of each event. Art Battle Canada has been promoting Canadian artists through live painting competitions since 2009. Created in Toronto by Simon Plashkes and Chris Pemberton, Art Battle has grown to more than 30 communities across Canada. In this 7th season, more than 150 events and 1600 original artworks will be created and sold to art lovers across Canada. Art Battle is in its second year in Victoria and happens on the second Thursday of each month at the VEC!
