Victoria Hospitality and Artists Appreciation – w/ Bousada
May 6 @ 9:00 PM - 2:00 AM
We’re gearing up for a busy summer in the hospitality industry – Let’s make sure we take the time to appreciate / celebrate / get to know each other.
We’re hosting our first “Hospitality and Artists Appreciation” night at the Victoria Event Centre, and we hope that you can come down, and be appreciated!
It’s the city’s hospitality workers that make Victoria a top destination for tourists and foodies, and we want to take the time to pat ourselves on the back.
Come by after work. Performances are scheduled to wrap up by midnight, so try to come early.
Bring proof (pay stub) that you do work in hospitality, hotel, retail, or in performance arts – there is no cover charge, and first 100 through the door will be offered a prize at the door:
— which may or may not be a ‘Shaft’
—– which may or may not be a drink.
This event is open to the general public, suggested donation if you don’t work in hospitality – $10. This is a 19+ event. ID required at the door.
All proceeds will go to the Worker Solidarity Fund, which supports workers’ legal challenges in reclaiming stolen wages across BC.
The Victoria Event Centre no longer has an operational elevator, and there is one long flight of stairs at the venue entrance. If you would like to attend the event but require assistance with accessing the space, please contact us at email@example.com and VEC staff do their best to accommodate.
