Keeping it Human – Victoria
July 24 @ 7:00 PM - 10:00 PM
What would it feel like to walk in someone else’s shoes?
Join us for Keeping It Human – a live storytelling event connecting the marginalized and Greater Victoria community
The evening will feature:
-A storyteller with lived experience of homelessness
-Opportunities for you, the audience, to reflect and learn
-A gallery of photography and art from our community
Let’s prove that there is a will in people’s hearts and in our city for us to express our shared humanity
This event takes place within the unceded territory of the Lekwungen speaking peoples (as represented today by the Songhees and Esquimalt Nations).
The event will be dry, though non-alcoholic drinks are available for purchase. Water is provided. The Victoria Event Centre is on the second storey of a building up a flight of 27 stairs. There is a continuous handrail up the stairwell but the staircase is wide enough that a person cannot grip both handrails at the same time. The storyteller will be mic’d but discussion will not be.
