Creating a Culture of Equity – Half Day Workshop

July 14 @ 12:30 PM - 4:00 PM

We gratefully acknowledge that this workshop will take place on the unceded territories of the Songhees and Esquimalt First Nations.

This workshop is *FREE* and open to the public, thanks to The HUB, Victoria Community Space.

All of our workshops provide interactive, experiential learning opportunities in a safe and supportive environment. Modules will include: privilege, intersectionality, active listening and healthy masculinity.

Detailed schedule and description of modules will be posted here.

Facilitators Dr. Jenn Neilson and Vincent Gornall are passionate social justice advocates with decades of teaching and facilitating experience between them. They are huge nerds, and spend their free time thinking about issues that impact the ability of women and minorities to be heard. Jenn’s particular interests include gender stereotypes and helping couples to share the invisible work at home. Vincent is determined to smash the patriarchy, and loves to use his interests in urban history and theatrical experiences in service of that goal. Both are dedicated to inclusivity and breaking down barriers, both at work and at home.

Coffee will be provided.

Fourth Wave Solutions offers staff and leadership training and guidance that to equip businesses, organizations, and the public sector to embrace and ride the fourth wave of feminism.
As a result of recent social justice movements, the cultural tide is turning when it comes to equity. We now expect more of organizations, and the people who lead them. Don’t get left behind.
