Bands!Bands!Bands!
Bands!Bands!Bands! is a live music show run by the VEC on the third Tuesday of the month, designed to showcase new and emerging acts from the local music scene. Selected bands will have the chance to perform on a mixed-genre bill to grow their audience, nourish the live music scene and develop a network of emerging artists in the city.
We are currently seeking bands to perform as one of four acts in an evening, with a focus on reducing barriers and supporting equity-seeking groups. All participating artists will be paid an artist fee of $150, and will be provided with a standard backline that will be shared by all groups in the evening.
Interested? In order to be eligible you must:
- Identify as a local emerging or early career artist
- Perform original material (only 1 cover per set, maximum!)
- Provide a stage plot
- Provide a link to your music – you do not need to have professionally recorded material to apply, however we do need to see a sample of your material
- Provide photos of your band for promotional purposes
- All band members must be available from 5pm-11pm for at least one of the upcoming performance dates (3rd Tuesday of the month)
