Conditions of Admittance and Attendance
When purchasing a ticket to attend an event at the Victoria Event Centre, prior to admittance into the event you are expected to comply with the requests and policies of the Victoria Event Centre staff and security. These requests may include but are not limited to; proof of valid ticket purchase, mandatory bag check, and mandatory proof of identification (two pieces of ID including 1 piece of photo ID).
Admittance will be at the sole discretion of staff and security. The Victoria Event Centre staff and security reserve the right to deny entry or remove any persons who do not follow and comply with the reasonable requests and requirements of the venue.
Prohibited Items
The following items are not permitted at the VEC.
- Weapons of any kind
- Illegal drugs and substances*
- Outside alcohol
- Backpacks or larger bags
- Any other items deemed unacceptable by VEC staff or security personnel
Assumption of Risk
Neither the venue nor the designated event producer are responsible for any loss, injury or damage to any person or property however caused.
Notice of Filming and Photography
When attending this event, you enter an area where photography, audio, and video recording may occur. By entering the event premises, you consent to such recording media and its release, publication, exhibition or reproduction.
Substance Use Policy
Alcohol that is not purchased through the venue’s bar is not permitted inside the venue at any time, including the greenroom. Alcohol consumption that takes place in the adjacent public spaces to the venue may result in patrons or clients being barred from re-entering the venue.
Possession or use of illegal substances is prohibited at the venue at all times. Encouragement of drug culture; drug use; reckless or destructive behaviour by performers, promoters, clients, etc. is not permitted.
Smoking, vaping, etc. inside any part of the venue (including green room and on stage) is not permitted at any time.
Clients, guests, promoters, performers, crew, etc. who do not adhere to the substance use policy may be subject to a $200 fee.
Code of Conduct
At the VEC there is zero tolerance for any type of racist, sexist, ableist, fatphobic, transphobic or homophobic behaviour. By entering the venue all guests, artists, promoters, and renters agree to conduct themselves with the utmost respect for everyone at the venue. In the event that they do not, they may be asked to leave. Respect as well as consent are of utmost importance. Those who touch or photograph anyone without their permission will be removed and may be banned from future events at our venue.
Refunds
We do not offer refunds on tickets. If you need to sell your tickets, the best way is to reach out to your social circles or post in the Facebook event discussion.
